Bra Embellishment

The Workshop
2 hours
£15* per person (10 people minimum)
I supply: A flyer, embellishments (sequins, appliques, rhinestones, ribbons – many haberdashery items hard to find outside of London), needles, thread, rhinestone glue etc.
Participants supply: a bra to customise (a plain-coloured tshirt bra is ideal – bring something simple)

Have you ever wanted to learn new techniques for customising your own burlesque costumes? Whilst this workshop focuses on bras, participants will learn valuable techniques (such as how to attach non-elastic trims to elasticated costumes) that can be applied to many other costume elements besides.
As well as bringing examples of my previous costuming work (available for participants to handle and look at up-close). I demonstrate how to add ruffles, sequins, appliques, how to change bra straps for a halterneck fastening and I provide tips on using rhinestones. Participants then have an hour with me to begin work on their own customisation, with the opportunity to ask questions about tricky or difficult techniques.
