1.5 Hours of Branding Consultancy
- We discussed the performer’s existing acts and ambitions, focusing on performance style and career goals.
- We looked at the performer’s webpage, highlighting areas that could be improved, such as layout, access to information and image placement.
- We went over the performer’s promotional blurb in depth, going through each sentence to address exactly what message it was conveying and whether that was an accurate reflection of the performer’s product.
“Beatrix gives a insightful tutorial on branding. Lending an expert eye as to what’s needed and what’s not when promoting yourself.” – London-based performer.
Full Day Act Consultancy
- We addressed 2 of the performer’s acts. We began by discussing areas of the acts that the performer does and does not want to change.
- We watched online video footage of these 2 acts being performed in front of an audience. I offered general feedback alongside the videos in order to illustrate my points. This provides much more clarity and support than verbal feedback upon a live performance.
- We reflected on weak spots and worked on finding solutions together to ensure I add a polish to the performer’s existing acts without losing any of the performer’s own sense of style, image or character.
- The performer was unhappy with the entire choreography of one of these two acts, so we spent approximately 3 hours reordering and structuring the choreography, not just to tighten her movement, but also to create accent points (timing a movement with a change in music) and strengthen the pacing of her act.
- After working through both acts, we visited the dance studio to rehearse the acts in front of a large mirror and film the rehearsal. The performer was then free to take the digital video files home for reference.
